Sports 4.7 inch screen, Beats and 1.5 GHz processor [Sensation XL of HTC]

October 30, 2011 | By Andro ID

October, HTC officially announced the Sensation XL. This handset sports a massive 4.7 inch display, 1.5 GHz single-core processor, and Beats audio support. This is big news for those users out there looking for an all around device that delivers fast speeds, enormous display and best in class audio.
Why would a person purchase this phone when they could purchase Sprint’s 4.5-inch Samsung Galaxy S II with a Super AMOLED Plus screen or the 4.3-inch AT&T version? Honestly, people may find the resolution to be a big disappointment. Checkout our review on the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II.

Also, the smartphone is expected to come with in-ear Beats headphones, but users can get their hands on a special edition offering that gets you a pair of Beats Solo headphones, which is pretty cool. With the screen being the size it is, it’s no doubt this is a beastly phone, but keep in mind that the 800×480 resolution on the XL is a slight downgrade from the original Sensation.
The HTC Sensation XL will become available in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia in November. A special edition with Beats Solo headphones bundled will be out at some point too. There’s no telling yet if the Sensation XL will also make it to the States.
