One of the best Android apps that use a lot of fun using the Tasker, which automate functions and settings on the Android based triggers. Users like it because it can start as soon as they check into Foursquare favorite bar on or off auto-sync when the battery is down below 20 percent.

However, Tasker has become so complex that it is not easy to understand. That is why you will be surprised to find Action Smart, a new application included in the Droid Razr that provides automation tasks in a simple interface. Let's be clear by saying that Motorola's new application is not strong or far-reaching as Tasker, so it is not good enough for everyone. But to trigger the automatic function on the basis of certain mobile phone condition, Action Smart ready to go to work.

Intelligent action begins by establishing the rule with a trigger, which is the condition of the phone which should lead to action. Users can set the trigger for the location, duration, level of battery, headphones, missed calls, or some other factor. Once triggered into effect, the user can set the action.


Intelligent action is a nice feature to tack on a Razr, even if it is somewhat limited. This application is able to combine multiple triggers such action only if the battery goes low in the afternoon, but not all triggers are compatible. It also does not let users set priorities, so that rules my override Low Battery "At Home" rule even though many people prefer the opposite to be true. Motorola recommends the help menu to create additional rules to deal with conflict, but it's not the most elegant solution.

Complaints aside, Motorola did a good job by creating a Smart Action. This is a user-friendly way of automatically perform common tasks and manage features to increase battery life. Smart action is now only available for Motorola Razr Droid, but Alain Mutricy, SVP Product and Portfolio Management says all products will appear in future Motorola Android.

For example, entering the office I trigger the "Work" rule. When the phone recognizes it in the building, it launched the action vibrating ring switch, turn off background sync, and even send a custom notification telling me There "Complete the TPS reports." long list of possible uses for Intelligent Actions, including these examples:

• Extend battery life by refusing brightness, shortening the display time limit, and disabling the background sync when the battery drops below 30 percent.
• Google Launches Music or your favorite music / podcast application automatically when headphones are plugged-in
• Send a text message when leaving the site or when you miss a call. Users can send only to certain numbers or use a trigger to send a "Not able to call, in a meeting" for a specific time period.
• Launched a favorite web site at a particular time or place. For example, I watch Tech News Today daily, so the phone can automatically launch a website that when the show begins.
