Moving on, Droid-Life exclusively learned about Verizon’s top new Android device, which is going to succeed the LG Revolution. The Android superphone, known as the LG Spectrum, is slated to launch on January 19th and will probably cost $299.
This isn’t your run-of-the-mill Android smartphone as the Spectrum is featuring industry-leading hardware, but will likely debut with Android 2.3. While LG smartphones on Verizon are typically nothing special or worth remembering, the Spectrum should change that as long as it launches on time with the right amount of advertising and marketing.
In terms of specs, it is going to feature a 4.5 inch HD display, 8MP rear facing camera, 1080p video capture, 1.3MP front facing camera, 4G LTE, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 20GB of onboard storage, Bluetooth, Swype, WiFi, GPS, and 1GB of RAM.
The sleek Android smartphone looks to join the DROID RAZR, Rezound, and Galaxy Nexus atop Verizon’s offering of smartphones on January 19. We fully expect LG and Verizon to introduce the smartphone at CES in just several days.
